Hi guys,
I have JAWS 5, windows XP, and outlook express. As the subject says JAWS stops speaking when i try to open o e. This started happening after this happened:
I was talking on skype to Lisa, and alt tabbed to go to o e to check my mail. well the alt key was seeming to stick down, as when i hit tab to tab out of an o e folder, it would alt tab to another app. well i hit the alt key, to try to release it, adn my pc clicked, and the sound card died. had to hit the big red switch after that to get it back up and running. now everything else works, but o e. any ideas wha ti can do to fix it?
thank in advance for any help.

okeys gunna post it here in case anyone else has a similar problem. this fixed it for me... ready? ... it's really long complicated and involved... delete your .dbx files, and start o e again. that's it. just delete the damn things and away ya go.
so in xp, as that's all i know about. start menu, f for search of find, files. *.dbx. enter. contro a for select all when it's done searching, adn smack that delete key!
And the winner is? grizzley bear! what a dude.
thanks to all others who helped me with this one.
